**AUTOMATION ENGINEER**

Celestica, the Global Manufacturer of Electronic Components, is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the implementation of a brilliant, world-class manufacturing environment.
- Using technology to improve and automate several processes
- Create, deploy and manage technologies that control production and delivery
- Manage robotics, AGVs or machines perform specific functions
- Service automation to quality assurance
- Handle and developing design specifications and other detailed documentation
- Able for developing automation software solution (PLC) based on specific requirements
- Exploring and implementing new ways to automate systems
- Designing and testing automation equipment and processes
- Programming new automated components, systems, Kuka robots
- Identifying automated error proofing systems to avoid quality issues
- Maintenance of automation equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests

**Responsibilities**

An automation engineer's job involves designing, programming, simulating, testing, maintaining and repairing automated processes. You will work with automated machinery from concept to prototype to help deliver solutions for manufacturing processes. You will be also responsible for providing detailed documentation, to assist in the production.

Other responsibilities:

- Identifying opportunities for automation within software processes
- Running tests for automated lines and work stations, robots, AGVs, etc..
- Testing automated systems to ensure they complete the assigned tasks
- Identifying bugs and quality issues in manufacturing or logistic processes
- Simulating and testing automated machinery and methods

**Skills**
- Programming and coding experience (PLC)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Being a critical thinker to develop practical solutions for complex automation processes
- Project & Data management
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within deadlines

**Typical Experience/Education**:

- Automatic, Robotics or Electronic Engineering
- 5+ years working experience on high volume manufacturing environment/industry
