We are looking for a talented and passionate Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Dating Engineering team.

What will you do?

Our main goal is to maintain and improve our dating sites, with more than 100K new users per day, mainly from the US. We do this by using the most modern technologies including AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Cypress, using micro-components, Domain Events... As well as using good practices and DDD. We’re proud to be working with Symfony, PHP 8, Vue.js, and a wide range of modern technologies. This is all done using agile methodologies, working with Kanban, and Jira daily. Continuous improvement, learning, and practicing new things are always welcomed.

We operate as a hybrid-remote company, giving everyone the flexibility to work from home two days per week. This balance supports both collaboration and individual productivity.

As Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead our Dating Engineering team, maintaining two different Dating products, and you will be the owner of the Dating technical roadmap and responsible for the production of new features.

Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Organize and lead the Dating engineering team, fostering a strong, collaborative culture.
- Strategic Planning: Define and drive the medium
- and long-term engineering strategy.
- Mentorship & Development: Mentor and support Software Engineers in their professional growth and daily work.
- Product Collaboration: Work closely with the Product Owner to align and support product direction and goals.
- Integration Management: Coordinate technical integrations with both internal and external teams.
- Technical Roadmap Ownership: Develop and maintain the technical roadmap to guide future development.
- Team Culture: Build and promote a positive, high-performing team culture.
- Career Development: Oversee career planning, promotions, and coaching for team members.
- Resource Planning: Plan for headcount needs and manage the hiring process.
- Productivity & Metrics: Monitor and improve team productivity through clear metrics and objectives.
- Cross-Team Alignment: Ensure alignment and collaboration with other teams across the company.

**Requirements**:

- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication in English.
- Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience in management and leadership roles.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent ability to manage a large scope of responsibilities effectively.
- Product Focus: A strong focus on product development, ideally with B2C experience.
- Design & Prototyping Balance: Ability to balance scalable software design (for future growth) with rapid prototyping (for fast feature testing).
- System Design: Proven experience in designing and architecting complex systems.
- Mentorship: Experience mentoring and developing Software Engineers.
- Team Growth: Experience in scaling engineering teams.
- Hiring Expertise: Experience designing and executing a hiring process for engineering roles.

Bonus Points
- Experience with subscription-based products, dating platforms, or affiliate marketing.
- A strong technical background in our tech stack: PHP, VueJS, AWS, and Docker.
- Expertise in managing and migrating legacy components to modern architectures.
