Chief Operations Officer

**The Role**:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic **Chief Operations Officer (COO)** to join our executive team at Amuse.
The COO will be in charge of enhancing operational efficiency, boosting performance, and aligning the organization's resources with its strategic objectives.
She/he will oversee day-to-day operations while collaborating closely with other executives to implement the company's vision and achieve long-term growth.
Located in Gran Canaria and reporting directly to the General Manager, the COO will supervise the Head of Operations, the Head of Human Resources, as well as our Pipeline Technical Director and Lead Developer.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement the organization's operational strategy in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Set clear operational goals and objectives aligned with the company's overall strategic direction.
- Provide strategic guidance and leadership to operational functions, including technology, data, and human resources. Foster cross-functional collaboration and ensure seamless coordination across departments.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows across all departments. Monitor operational processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement strategies to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
- Manage the technical teams and oversee the optimization of our studio's production pipeline, as well as the integration of new tools to enhance our production workflow.
- Works closely with the Head of HR to drive strategic initiatives and optimize human capital to support the company's mission.
- Develop and implement HR strategies to optimize resource allocation, including budgeting, financial planning, and resource optimization. Collaborate with department heads and executives to allocate resources effectively, ensuring adequate funding for operations and maximizing resource utilization.
- Establish performance metrics and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the organization's operational performance. Regularly assess progress towards goals, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary corrective measures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency, especially within generative AI. Conduct in-depth analyses of existing workflows, identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks, and implement strategies to optimize operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
- Develop and nurture a high-performing operations team. Recruit, train, and mentor talented individuals, fostering a positive work culture and promoting teamwork and collaboration.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in a senior leadership role with a track record of driving operational excellence and achieving strategic objectives.
- Proven track record of managing tech teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
- In-depth knowledge of operations management principles, process improvement methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimize operations.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and financial planning.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and driving positive change.

**Extra qualifications that are a big plus for this role**:

- Experience in managing and optimizing technology pipelines and workflows specific to 3D CGI production.
- Strong understanding of the technical aspects of 3D CGI production and of the industry-standard software and tools used.
