Senior Project Manager Distribution

Purpose An exciting opportunity to lead and implement best in class distribution projects & programs in our EMEA Markets. You will work closely with colleagues across markets and global, be a go-to lead for new and ongoing projects & programs. You will be responsible to manage and deliver mid-scale Distribution & Supply Chain projects (< € 5 million) or sub elements of larger-scale projects on a local or global level/for the EMEA region across brands and respective functions within the boundaries of time, cost & quality while focusing on the customers’ expectations and requirements. Key Responsibilities - Manage the execution and completion of the defined project (plan) through effectively coordinating people and resources. - Monitor the project variables (cost, effort, scope, etc.) against the project plan in order to implement corrective or preventative actions. - Manage the change management approach for respective project and ensure changes are smoothly and successfully implemented to achieve lasting benefits. - Think globally and x-functionally in order to identify project dependencies and their impact, raise dependency issues with the project sponsor and co-create solutions - Form and lead multi-functional project team resources (internals and externals) to deliver and support projects and programs. - Partner with the internal market SCM, Operations, TECH and other involved workstreams on project requirements and goals to then set up and manage related DC projects or programs on warehousing and transport. - Establish project controlling within the project to verify and control the allocated project costs on time in budget. - Ensure compliance to adidas & Supply Chain Management standards, controlling standards. - As conflicts and escalations arise within projects, identify solutions and propose these to project sponsor and support their resolution in a timely and appropriate manner. - Use appropriate and effective communication methods to Senior Management and project stakeholder throughout the project life cycle, to successfully deliver and embed the project within the organization. Key Relationships - Supply Chain Management global and market-based teams/SCM market team - Global IT - Respective business function (GOPS, Finance, HR, Brand Marketing, Wholesale/Retail/E-COM) - Supplier Management - HR Management - Controlling - External consultants (as needed)/3 PL provider Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Broad knowledge in SCM and specifically distribution and 3PL integrations - Ability to analyze and resolve issues, managing risks and making effective decisions. - Experience to manage complex projects on 3PL WHS and 3 PL transport related initiatives. - Pro-active (engaging & impact-oriented) mindset, ability to think end-to-end. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures. - Business mindset: strong numerical and analytical skills, experience in finance, process driven. - Strong project management skills and managing different project with SCM know-how - Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. - Action-oriented and solution-minded team player with high degree of self-management. - Strong communication (both written and verbal) and facilitation skills (small and large groups) especially when interacting with different levels of business. - Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required. - Fluent English skills (verbal and written). **Qualifications**: - Minimum 5-6 years of relevant work experience in SCM, preferred to have knowhow of Distribution Operations and Procurement - Within which 1-2 years of relevant project leadership /transformation experience in a global setting - Strong experience with managing complex Distribution Center projects. Ideally experience related to leading Greenfield/Brownfield Distribution Center projects or process optimization (of Material Flow) projects. - University Degree with focus on Supply Chain Management, or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
