**Description**:
Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification) Services, for its Industry Services Division is looking for a** Mechanical & Welding Lead Inspector** for a long-term project based at supplier in Tarragona (Spain) area.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and coordinate all mechanical and welding inspection activities on site
- Supervise the erection of modular structures and assembly of piping systems per project specifications
- Ensure compliance with **ASME IX, AWS D1.1, ISO 9606**, and **ASME B31.3** codes and standards
- Review Inspection Test Plan and Mechanical Completion Certificates
- Monitor Notification For Inspection flow from vendor to Company, verifying aderence with ITP requirements
- Manage and review **piping test**packs (including WSL, NDT and mechanical completion certificates/check sheet), walkdowns, and **pressure tests** (hydrostatic/pneumatic)
- Monitor fit-up, alignment, weld quality, and fabrication tolerances
- Interface with client representatives, third-party inspectors, and construction leads
- Collaborate closely with other team leads (E&I, painting, insulation, mechanical completion) to ensure project integration and efficient planning.

**Requirements**:

- Solid experience in inspection of **modular construction** and **field piping assembly** for oil & gas or LNG projects
- Proven knowledge of **welding and piping inspection**, including test pack and pressure test management
- Fluent in **English** (mandatory); **Spanish** is a plus

**Required Certifications/Experience**:

- **CSWIP 3.2** or **AWS CWI**:

- **NDT Level II** in VT, PT, MT (UT preferred)
- **API 577** (preferred)
- Proven competence or training in **ASME B31.3**:

- HSE training (e.g., **OSHA 30** or ISO 45001 awareness) is an advantage
