Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Azure, Hybrid, 2yrs + Contract, English speaking

To support this transformation, we're looking for 2 experienced engineers who combine deep technical expertise with the ability to operate independently in a distributed support organization; 8+ years in infrastructure/cloud roles, ideally in hybrid environments.

You will join a team of internal staff and trusted partners during a hybrid phase leading to full Azure transition by end of 2026. Work onsite in Madrid 2-3 days a week.

English only is required.

**THE ROLE**

Collaborate with cross-functional support teams and vendors

Manage both on-premises and cloud-native infrastructure

Design and implement scalable, secure Azure environments

Automate deployments using Terraform or JAMML, CI/CD pipelines

Improve observability and security posture with enterprise-grade tools

Communicate effectively with stakeholders of varied technical background

**TECHNICAL (you should cover as much as possible)**

**Cloud and On-Prem Infrastructure & Services**

Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), Scale Sets

Compute, Storage, Networking (VNETs, NSGs, Load Balancers)

**Deployment & Automation**

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform or JAMML

CI/CD pipelines: GitHub, GitLab, Octopus Deploy

Automation using PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI

Configuration management: Ansible, Chef

**Operation & Security**

Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud

Identity Management: Azure AD, Managed Identities, RBAC

Backup & Disaster Recovery (strategy and implementation)

Monitoring & Logging (eg LogicMonitor)

**Network & Hybrid Cloud**

VPNs, ExpressRoute, Peering

DNS, Firewalls, WAF, Private Endpoints

Hybrid cloud connectivity and access control

**Databases & Storage**

Azure SQL, Cosmos DB

Storage accounts: Blob, File, Table, Queue

Performance optimization and backup strategies

**Architecture & Conceptual Knowledge**

Scalable & highly available architectural design patterns

Zero Trust Security frameworks & best practices

DevOps & GitOps principles for infrastructure management

**YOUR PROFILE**

8+ years in infrastructure/cloud roles, ideally in hybrid environments

Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management

Ability to communicate technical concepts to both IT and business teams

Self-driven with a proactive, hands-on mindset

**TERMS**

Hybrid, with 50% onsite in Madrid

Contract duration: Until end of 2026, extension likely

Fluent English required

Start: ASAP or September latest

Pay: 50,000.00€ - 100,000.00€ per year
