- Holy Mary British Catholic School started as a Nursery School here in Madrid through the vision of its founders, Marta and María Riva de Aldama. It was opened to cater for parents who wished their children to have a British style education based on Catholic values. It expanded due to great demand from parents and has continued to provide education as a Primary School. Further pressure from parents resulted in the opening of the Secondary School with the first phase opening in 2013. Currently, we are the only British Catholic School located towards the centre of Madrid with around 750 students enrolled.
We are committed members of NABSS, CISC and ACADE.
Holy Mary British Catholic School has two more years of expansion and continuous school improvement to plan. Our curriculum is creative and inclusive, and we count on fantastic teachers and children, together with highly supportive parents. The school promotes a warm, family, atmosphere, and we are seeking to recruit outstanding and inspirational class teachers to join our team of hard working, talented and enthusiastic professionals.
Due to our expansion, at late notice, we are looking for an additional teacher of Early Years.
- At least 2 years’ experience teaching within EYFS
- EU citizenship
- A commitment towards the safeguarding of children

- Possess the ability to inspire our youngest pupils
- Possess an inordinate amount of patience and good humour, to be demonstrated on a daily basis with our youngest learners for whom English is not their first language
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Be excellent classroom practitioners who are caring, enthusiastic, and organised
- Be efficient and comfortable when directing the professional activity of teaching assistants
