Product Expert

**Puesto**:
He/She will be based in Spain (preferable in Logrono).

Product Expert designs scientific processes for developing processes starting from raw materials (ingredients and green coffee) and designing all the steps for reaching, using the best practises, the best results. He/She will be responsible for developing, testing, cupping and implementing and/or fine tuning existing and new production processes.

Product Expert will be responsible to give all the indications for developing, evaluating, and maintaining the integrity of our coffee processes.

**RESPONSABILITIES**:

- Develop new blends and/or fine tuning existing one with the help of local Development Team
- Develop new ingredients to be used in our products (Capsules and Traditional)
- Develop, configure and optimize ingredient & coffee industrial processes.
- Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data coming from our processes
- Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes.
- Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
- Perform process simulations for new Product Development
- Cooperating with Customer Service to deliver answers to our Commercial BU, answering questions and requests.
- Manage cost and time constraints.
- Perform risk assessments.
- Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
- Drive the entire Capsule ingredient & Blend vision delivering innovative new products to keep the business relevant and competitive.
- Conduct Coffee’s market research to identify user need for new products.
- Develop Ingredient & Coffee pricing analysis and positioning strategies to suggest.
- Translate Ingredients & Coffee strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
- Establish requirements and specifications for existing and new products.
- Clearly communicate the vision and goals of existing and new products
- Lead and participate in meetings and provide advice and guidance on the direction of products.
- Manage cross-functional teams in developing coffee product and design
- Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
- Recommends the nature and scope of present and future products by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product changes.

- Lead Ingredient and Coffee Process & Blending teams allocated in CCT and Logrono.
- Providing support and guidance to team to meet daily work demands.
- Maintains Capsule Group Spain Product Manager staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies.
- Work closely with the staff to select most appropriate process improvement techniques.
- Identify and manage resources to execute process improvement projects.
- Develop new processes for high efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Prioritize and develop projects based on critical needs.
- Optimize current processes to meet all customer and internal requirements.
- Work with multi-functional team to achieve project goals.
- Develop and maintain process related documents.
- Recommend new ideas and techniques to ensure project success.
- Evaluate current processes and provide recommendations.
- Analyse and troubleshoot process problems to make continuous and permanent improvements.
- Develop projects within allotted timelines and budget.
- Ensure in compliance with company and industry standards.

**Requisitos**:

- Proven work experience in Ingredient and Coffee Process Development/Production (at least 5 years)
- A bachelor’s technical degree or master degree in a related field.
- Q grader certified qualification mandatory
- Portfolio of successful project initiative
- Very strong capacity for adaptation, responsiveness and organization to respond to everyday situations.
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful Coffee product throughout its lifecycle.
- Proven ability to develop Ingredient and Coffee blends and products and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job.
- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
