**Role purpose**:
The Vodafone Italy Business Intelligence and Big Data team is the owner of the Vodafone Italy data stack which includes Business Intelligence and Big Data system. It provides data and services to different stakeholders from predefined reports for business users, to self-service reporting for advanced BI users and analytics platform for data scientists. The platform we manage answers to multiple business needs leveraging on standard BI and ETL tools as well as on modern real time data streaming tools.

The **SQL Data Analyst** is a key member of IT Business Intelligence team that has deep knowledge of data model and data them self. He/She will be master of some analysis areas and will work on requirement analysis together with business team producing in output a detailed design document for developers to implement. You will tightly work with business users, data architects and visualization architects to define the best solution for the company.

**We are looking for the following**:

- Be master of some analysis area, understand the source system processes creating the data and how data gets processed and stored. Be to go-to person for analysis on that area.
- Understand business requirement and transform them in an SQL query to extract/load data
- Collaborate with business user to mock-up new data visualization based on the business requirement
- Development of SQL queries to extract data and / or load new data
- Understand the data, how to read and get value out of them, and contribute on the design of data model extension.
- Understand business needs and be able to speak with business/non-technical users

**What you bring**:

- High knowledge of SQL, preferably on distributed systems (Teradata, and Google Big Query preferred)
- Business understanding
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering and/or other STEM degrees
- Working experience in similar roles (3-5 years of experience)
- Attitude to plan and organize work to deliver project as agreed
- Great communication skills and stakeholder’s management
- ** Strong English language skills (C1)**
