We are looking for a **Observability Manager** to work with one of our clients.
**100% remote position for people located in Spain.**
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead Observability Vision: Spearhead the development and implementation of the company’s observability strategy, ensuring alignment with IT operational goals and broader business objectives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Forge strong partnerships with IT, DevOps, and business stakeholders to ensure observability initiatives bolster the company's strategic goals and operational efficiency.
- Senior Leadership: Inspire and guide a team of observability engineers and specialists, driving the configuration, deployment, and optimization of observability tools and processes. Drive Performance
- Optimization: Collaborate proactively with IT and SRE teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize system performance, and enhance the customer experience using Dynatrace insights.
- Innovate and Automate: Integrate observability into automated processes, including CI/CD pipelines, to ensure proactive monitoring, faster incident detection, and resolution, driving innovation.
- Reporting and Insights: Deliver regular reports on system performance, observability metrics, and actionable insights to stakeholders, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Incident Management: Oversee major performance-related incidents, ensuring swift resolution and thorough post-incident analysis to prevent recurrence.
**Mandatory requirements**:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: Bring 7+ years of experience in IT Operations, Performance Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering, with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrate a proven track record of leading teams and crafting a visionary approach to observability in alignment with business and operational goals.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker), and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or similar.
- Automation Experience: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automation tools to streamline monitoring and incident management processes.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into business outcomes and collaborate effectively across departments.
- Problem-solving Ability: Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and solving performance issues.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Dynatrace Certification: Certification and experience with AIOps, automated incident response, or machine learning-driven performance monitoring.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks: Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and incident/problem management processes.
- Experience aligning observability metrics: Experience aligning observability metrics with business KPIs and data-driven decision-making.
