Infrastructure Architect

**Overview**:
As an **Infrastructure Architect, **you will be responsible for defining and maintaining guidelines and frameworks for all infrastructure aspects of architecture within our organization. Additionally, you will be tasked with establishing blueprints and designs for solutions that involve infrastructure aspects, supporting the development of our company's products and services. Reporting to the Senior Manager Solution Engineer, you will join the Design, Innovation and Architecture (DIA) Team of SITA For Aircraft.

- Define and maintain guidelines and frameworks for all infrastructure aspects of architecture, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Propose and define evolutions of the guidelines and processes surrounding architecture of platforms used in SITA For Aircraft
- Design infrastructure architecture solutions, both for Cloud environments as well as private Data Centres, taking into consideration the company's products and services requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide infrastructure engineering expertise during the design and development stages.
- Design and create infrastructure blueprints and designs that align with business objectives and meet customer and product needs.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing platform infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and proposing innovative solutions.
- Accompany the evolutions of the platforms by contributing to the preliminary studies for these to take place, in conjunction with colleagues in the operational domain
- Provide technical support and guidance to other teams, assisting with infrastructure-related inquiries and troubleshooting.
- Ensure platform/infrastructure security measures are in place, including ACLs, resource isolation, and control systems, and conduct regular security audits.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and select platform-related hardware and software solutions.
- Document platforms configurations, designs, and processes, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Establish and maintain a cartography of the practices in place with regards to platform architecture among the various products, data centers, and environments in SFA

**Qualifications**:
**Who you are**
- Minimum of 5 years infrastructure engineering or system administrator experience in a solution development capacity.
- A prior experience in an Infrastructure / Platform Architect role or similar would-be a plus
- Understanding of Virtualization approaches, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, etc..), Operating Systems Architecture, Container technologies, Orchestration frameworks as well as the main Azure PaaS products.
- Ability to perform PoCs as well as setup sandboxes environments to perform trade-offs of potential new technology in the frame of their assessment.
- Prior hand-on experience with both self-managed and Cloud (i.e., Azure) infrastructure deployments and implementation.
- Knowledge of Cloud Specific (Azure is preferred) artefacts
- Proven experience in platform and infrastructure engineering or related roles, with a focus on designing and implementing complex solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, SQL Server administration, among others.
- Proficiency on the Linux command line and with the Linux operating system.
- Familiarity with infrastructure security principles, tools, and technologies.
- Certifications from Cloud Infrastructure vendors (Azure preferred) are highly desirable.
