**Project** Description**:
The role is with our Murex support team which is working on providing technical support (including defect fixing & small changes) on the client's Murex 3.1 platform. Our project offers a unique opportunity to work across a wide range of niche technologies like AWS, and DevOps alongside legacy and the latest Murex versions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Key Skills and responsibilities
- Provide Murex Technical support in a shift-based setup.
- Outside of support tasks, you will be expected to work on changes to improve the environment setup. For example DevOps implementation, Unix Automation (scripting), and EOD/SQL optimizations. These will be picked up based on skill level and bandwidth and will present an opportunity to learn.
- At a later stage consultants can move to more senior support or as support lead.

**Skills**:
Must have
- 2-3 years of relevant Murex support experience
- Good understanding of Murex services and related launchers as well as log files.
- Experience in debugging issues on Murex launchers and recovering as required.
- Some understanding of a normal Murex End-of-day
- Experience in debugging issues on Datamart job runs.
- Good Unix knowledge - especially on commands related to processes and file management
- Basic to Intermediate Unix Shell scripting
- Good SQL knowledge (preferably Sybase) including an understanding of performance optimization (indexes etc)
- Job Scheduling tool knowledge - Control M (Browse & Update) or any similar tool
- Willingness to work in a rota-based support schedule including limited overnight, weekend, and on-call support.

Nice to have
- RDBMS ( Oracle and SQL server)
- Strong Unix and troubleshooting shell scripts/batch files
- Strong experience in industry-standard monitoring platforms (Geneos ITRS, Splunk)
- Strong incident recovery and problem resolution capabilities in Windows/Unix environment
- Experience with Open shift, Docker, and cloud deployment technologies
- Exposure to other Murex modules: MxML, FO, BO,...

Minimum academic requirements : Bachelor's Degree from a reputed university with good passing scores**Languages**:
English: B2 Upper Intermediate
