Sener Aerospace and Defence is currently looking for Firmware Engineers (Senior and Junior) to join our Avionics and Flight System Division at our Tres Cantos work center (Madrid).

We are a pioneering engineering company in the design of satellite technology and equipment for space exploration. In defence, we design and produce equipment and systems, including unmanned systems. **What you will do**:

- Lead the definition and implementation of FW solutions: architectures, FW components, Ifs, requirements, test resources, pin-out
- Preparation of FPGA specifications.
- Testing and debugging the developed solutions.
- Understanding HW/SW platform and being able to define SW/HW, SW/FW IFs.
- Break down the defined solution into affordable FW component and tasks, according to project context: schedule, profiles, platform
- Participate in proposals preparation.

**What we expect from you**:

- Engineering Degree.
- Between 2-6 years background in FPGA development areas (space or automotive markets preferred). Larger experiences will be as well very welcome.
- Experience in all stages of FW lifecycle: requirements & spec, architecture definition, FW implementation, validation, integration.
- Experience in defining/implementing FW architectures.
- Be able to gather and analytically understand user requirements, providing guideless for the solution not only focusing on the FPGA but as well, SW/FW/HW approaches (being able to understand requirements impact on HW and SW solutions).
- Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interactions and presentations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to clearly articulate customer technical needs into technical specifications.
- High level of English.

We will also value:

- Knowledge on different development environments (Xilinx, Microsemi, Questa).
- Experience in VHDL programming.
- Experience in Simulink and Matlab.
- Knowledge in C++, C#, Phyton, Go, and/or distributed OS.
- Experience in the implementation of data/signal processing solutions.
- Experience in space, automotive or defence industry environments.
