Position Title* & Location : Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. Spain, UK or South Africa, Canada

Position Purpose:
Major/Key Accountabilities:

- Assist with roadmaps, including short
- and long-term strategies
- Drive automation capabilities for Cloud technologies, and make meaningful and measurable progress in improving automation YoY
- Drive Cloud technology modernization by integrating and upgrading existing technology stacks, capabilities, tools and processes and perform proof of concepts to validate and filter options quickly
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs of Cloud platform
- Champion and evangelize Cloud best practices for the company,
- Assist the global process owner for Disaster recovery of all enterprise systems
- Identify any gaps and present the investments or business case required to Leadership
- Work alongside the IT Manager responsible for Wintel/Linux governance and architecture
- Public Cloud Accountabilities
- IT Infrastructure Architecture and Governance for Cloud services
- Coordinate with the Application Teams’ use of PaaS (Platform as a Service)
- Oversight of our use of IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)
- Manage Data Center Cloud Connectivity to Cloud Providers (Azure, AWS, etc..)
- ExpressRoute for Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS
- Direct Connect for AWS services
- Azure Active Directory maintenance
- Okta Management - Federation Services for AWS/Amazon

Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or 15+ years’ related work experience
- Compute environment experience demonstrating a combination of indirectly managing technical teams, plus relevant technical background including deep expertise in multiple domains (e.g. Hosting, Cloud, Virtualization, Storage, Backup & Recovery, Middleware, Production Control, Security Admin)
- Terraform Scripting (CI/CD pipelines)
- AWS Solutions Architecture Certificate (*Associate and Professional)
- Azure certification

Desirable Qualifications
- ITIL Foundations Certification
- Previous or current technical certifications a plus
- Industry knowledge (_see belo_w)

Experience:

- 15+ years’ IT leadership experience, with at least 10+ years managing technical teams
- 10+ years’ managing large-scale infrastructure outsourced service providers
- Understanding of Networking
- DNS Management and administration
- Windows Servers (Current OS)
- Linux (preferably RHEL)
- Active Directory on Premises and Azure Active Directory

Skills and Knowledge:

- 8+ years’ experience in SaaS, PaaS or IaaS management
- 10+ years’ experience in a high-availability 24/7 environment (cloud platforms are a plus)
- Management experience
- 10+ years of people management experience (30+ people in the org), including managing managers. Leading multi-functional teams (infrastructure, operations)
- Platform development expertise. Proven track of operating large-scale PaaS or IaaS systems, especially for public cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Significant experience with Cloud computing toolsets (e.g., Terraform)
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible), Atlassian products (e.g., Service Now, Jira etc.), Git / GitOps
- Experience with strategy development and organizational leadership
- Thrives in an agile, fast-paced, collaborative environment, using research and analysis to support recommendations and opinions
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Excellent business and technical communication skills at all levels of the organization
- Dedication to continuous improvement, successful at leading by influence, and excellent at building cases for investments to improve security risk posture
