**The position**:
This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global employment space as an **Engineering Manager**, joining our **Engineering** team.

**Must have (professional experience)**:

- Managed two or more software engineering teams for at least a year
- Solid communication skills
- Proven organisational skills with attention to detail
- Focused on efficient processes with a kind, people-first approach
- Ambitious and intentional about diversity, equality and inclusion
- Solid knowledge of engineering and development principles and best practices
- Being able to inspire others and instill confidence
- Good understand of team dynamics
- Commitment to promoting all of Remote's values within the team and the greater organisation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage multiple software engineering development teams
- Be involved in hiring processes for the engineering team
- In addition to being involved in hiring, also being responsible for the onboarding process of new engineers
- By being the spokesperson for everyone in their teams; they are expected to manage the team dynamics and bring out the best in them
- Giving continuous and constructive feedback on all the things
- Provide guidance and coaching
- Follow the engineering manager career requirements defined here
