We are currently looking for an experienced Utilities Engineer to join our site in Porrino in North West Spain.
The Utilities Engineer will analyze and optimize the generation and distribution processes of the utilities, ensuring the correct reliability and efficiency of these processes and guaranteeing compliance with the quality standards established by Lonza for the generation and distribution of utilities.
Key responsibilities:
- Measure and analyze the water and energy balance of the different utilities processes
- Define the necessary technical actions to maintain the quality and efficiency of the generation and distribution of utilities in accordance with the best quality and efficiency standards of the available technologies and collaborate in their implementation
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary teams with customers (IPT, JPT), as well as global teams.
- Actively participate in audits / inspections of customers and / or regulatory agencies
- Carry out consumption reports and monitor the efficiency of the utilities generation as well as the rest of the department indicators (KPIs), project monitoring and department documentation
- Maintain adequate cost control that optimizes human, technical and financial resources to finally ensure the achievement of strategic objectives
- Lead the development and implementation of improvement systems for the utilities in line with the Operational Excellence strategy
- Ensure that EHS policies and procedures are followed and effectively in place, helping to increase the department's awareness of this matter
Key requirements:
- Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical Engineering degree
- Technical or Mechanical Superior Engineering or demonstrable experience in the position
- Knowledge of existing regulations in the Pharmaceutical industry, specifically GMPs
- Proficiency in the English language (spoken and written)
