The Broadcast Venue Support Senior Manager will lead the Broadcaster Venue Support Team within the Institutional Relations and Events department. This is a very exciting opportunity to work alongside all OBS departments, all Organising Committees and the IOC. The position requires liaising with internal stakeholders and Olympic Media Rights Holders (MRHs). The role is based in Madrid, Spain and requires extensive business travel involved with current and future Olympic host cities, as well as other destinations.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Organising and managing the Broadcast Venue Support team, overseeing the management of the needs and requirements of the Olympic Media Rights Holders (MRHs) across all Olympic venues.
- Attend Venue Planning Meetings, both within OBS and with the OCOG on-site (or remotely) to ensure that the MRH requirements are met on-site.
- In the final stages of the planning period, plan your assigned venues so that they are ready to be handed over to the Games-time Liaison Managers.
- Help manage the MRH Venue Survey Windows which are specific time periods when MRHs are allowed to have on-site detailed surveys in all the Olympic venues. Assist in the planning of each MRH Venue Survey Window and then manage the surveys on-site with each of the MRHs present.
- Organise the crewing plan of the venue teams (Liaison Managers, Chief Liaison Officers, etc.), determining the breakdown and size of the teams based on the overall venue plan and requirements based on the services provided.
- Assist in the crewing process of hiring all Liaison Games-time staff, including interviews, training staff and management of these teams during each Olympic Games.
- Assist in the Broadcast Training Program, where local students are trained and hired as Liaison Officers for each venue to be part of the overall Venue Liaison Team. Assist with lecturing students, interviewing, and training them.
- Help plan the Venue Management Seminar when all Games-time Management staff access Games-related information for preliminary training.
- Might also be required to be Venue Manager on-site at various events including Youth Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, etc.

**Skills, Requirements & Qualifications**:

- Relevant completed tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma preferred).
- Minimum of 10-15+ years in largescale broadcast operations, corporate communications, media, public relations. 5+ years of which should be Strategic and Managerial experience.
- Expert in Leading Broadcast Venue Support Teams with project planning successful execution and delivery in venue management.
- Reading production and engineering plans.
- Excellent communication skills is a must for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior involvement in major international sporting events, such as the Olympic Games, is considered beneficial.
- Excellent proficiency of English required (native or bilingual). Additional languages will be appreciated.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.

**Workplace & Environment**:

- Fast paced international environment working for a subsidiary of the IOC, a 130-year-old organization that coordinates the Olympic Games.
- Based in Madrid, with a flexible 30% working from home allowance.
- May be required to relocate for a period of time to the host city for each Games edition for a period of at least 3 months.
- Extensive travel is required for this position
- mostly planned trips but as required for business from 2 weeks as a minimum
