**Accounting Manager**

Job type: Fixed Term 6 months - 1 year; 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 6.00pm

Language: Spanish/English

Location: Madrid

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparation and completion of the company's statutory and non-statutory reporting obligations (BDE, INE, etc...) and providing all necessary data for global reporting, including tax and regulatory filings,
- Effective management of the accounting ledger and books of record with our ERP Peoplesoft;
- Management of Cost & GL Accounting, Accounts Payable, & T&E expense management.
- Act as main point of contact with internal and external auditors and securitisation auditors as necessary.
- Production of timely and accurate month-end reporting packs & commentaries.
- Management of the team of accounting analysts and branch administration.

Experience
- Strong experience and relevant track record in accounting management, desirable with experience in the international payments industry
- Experience with ERP (preferably Peoplesoft)
- Preferable having worked for any of the big five.
- An understanding of the management, legal and tax challenges;
- Ability to build strong relationships with fellow team members across dispersed Geographic locations and the other leaders within the company.
- Excellent technical and analytical ability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion, humility, integrity, team player and a spirited sense of humour
- Good level of written and verbal English is requiered.
