**Accountabilities**:
- Own the planning and delivery of the multichannel Chief Medical Office (CMO) internal communications plan and campaigns, mentoring CMO leaders as needed.
- Lead CMO internal communications initiatives to boost employee engagement and align with AstraZeneca's business strategy. Plan functional events like Town Halls and coordinate local engagement opportunities.
- Maintain CMO as an inspiring environment by working with leaders to act on feedback from employee surveys.
- Manage CMO internal communications channels and services, adhering to AstraZeneca Global standards.
- Integrate new and innovative communication strategies, especially utilizing digital and social media.
- Support internal CMO communication initiatives to embed new processes and technologies.
- Develop a plan to engage key partners through various digital and personal channels, equipping CMO leadership with effective communication tools.
- Coordinate creative content development to capture audience attention amidst other internal communications.
- Assist in designing impactful presentations for senior audiences such as SET and the AZ Board, as well as external presentations.
- Collaborate with Global Corporate Affairs R&D External Communications colleagues to highlight CMO's advancements and impact on trials, healthcare professionals, and patients.
- Connect with communications colleagues across Oncology R&D to align work, messaging, and branding.
**Essential Skills/Experience**:
- BS/BA degree in life sciences or communications or related field
- Knowledge of R&D and global pharmaceutical market
- Experience in healthcare communications
- Experience supporting senior leaders through communications counsel
- Experience developing and implementing integrated communication plans
- Understanding and experience of employee engagement standard methodologies
- Understanding and experience of issues management
- Understanding and experience of digital and social media
- Strong understanding of internal and external partners, including physicians, payers, and patients
- National and global communications experience
- Ability to work in a global environment including understanding of cultural differences
