Fluent English-speaking Nanny

Start Date: August 2025
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM
**Salary**: €10-€12/hour (depending on experience) + extra pay for overtime
We are a warm and caring French family moving to Barcelona in August 2025, looking for a reliable, nurturing, and fluent English-speaking nanny to care for our two children (ages 6 and 4). Our home will be located within a short distance (maximum 30 minutes by public transport) from their school, Ferdinand de Lesseps.
This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys spending time with children and values meaningful interaction in English. Our goal is to reinforce their English skills through consistent, engaging communication in a home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a simple dinner and tidy the children’s room/clothes before school pick-up
- Pick up children from school (2:00 PM on Wednesdays, 4:30 PM on other days)
- Help with homework and encourage fun, educational play (indoor and outdoor)
- Maintain a tidy and organized space for the children
- Prepare and serve dinner for the children
- Assist with the evening routine (snacks, clothes for the next day, bedtime)
- Fluent in English (must communicate only in English with the children)
- Experience with young children (ages 4-6 preferred)
- Reliable, organized, and warm-hearted
- Proactive and able to manage daily routines independently
- Based in or willing to commute within 30 minutes of the school (Gràcia area)
Additional Details:
- Occasional evening babysitting with advance notice and agreement
- Monthly salary based on hours worked (€10-€12/hour, DOE)
- Long-term commitment preferred
