**Objetivo**:
**Who you are**:
As Student Life Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, engaging, and culturally enriching experience for CIEE high school and US college participants in Madrid. Under the guidance of the Student Life Manager, you'll help plan and deliver orientations, housing logistics, cultural activities, and wellness support throughout the summer program. This position is student-facing, hands-on, might supervise SLO Assistants (and/or interns), and is based full-time in Madrid.

**What you’ll do**:

Student Advising and Adaptation_**

Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for students.

Offer informal advising and support adaptation to local culture.

Promote student wellness and refer to professional services when needed.

Communicate behavior expectations and protocols clearly and empathetically.

Carry the emergency phone in rotation and assist in student health/safety cases.

Participate in newsletters and social media, such as writing a blog, taking pictures, recording video stories during program activities that show student life and adaptation.

Orientation and Cultural Programming_**

Support pre-departure and on-site orientations, census students, make reservations.

Plan and facilitate excursions, cultural activities, and volunteer opportunities.

Help manage attendance, budgets, and activity logistics.

Participate in student media content (photos, blogs, social posts).

Housing_**

Assist with homestay placements, orientations, and communication.

Monitor housing conditions, coordinate repairs, and resolve issues.

Assist with housing payments and contact with housing providers

Support evaluations and provide feedback to hosts and housing providers.

Process housing change requests and end-of-program transitions.

Health, Safety and Security

Help manage student conduct and emergency protocols.

Report and document incidents according to CIEE guidelines.

Collaborate across teams to monitor student wellbeing.

Participant incidents that pertain to your assigned students, if necessary.

**Perfil**:
**What you’ll bring**:
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.

Calm, empathetic, and confident when working with teens and diverse groups.

Familiar with U.S. education systems and youth program dynamics.

Committed to student support, inclusion, and safety.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

At least 3 years of experience in education, youth programs, or administration.

Experience working with U.S. students or youth in an intercultural setting.

Fluent in English and Spanish.

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Microsoft Office proficiency; openness to learning new systems.

Availability to work occasional evenings/weekends and carry an emergency phone.

Must be legally authorized to work in Spain and live full-time in Madrid.
