DNV’s Wind & Solar Technology Testing Section delivers high-quality analysis to ensure that wind turbines, PV solar plants, hydroelectric and other conventional power plants perform to expectations. We are engineers, scientists and businesspeople dedicated to the success of energy industry. We verify through measurements, simulations and certification processes that power plants will produce energy in line with expectations and have a useful lifetime consistent with their design.

To enable DNV to achieve its strategic ambitions, address growing demand of PV Solar testing services and become future fit, we are currently seeking to recruit a **Senior PV Solar Testing Engineer** to take a lead role in developing the solar testing business for DNV in the Region of SEMELA (Southern Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America). In this role the selected applicant will be responsible for business development, service coordination, project management and assure PV solar testing excellence according to best industry practices.

You will be a partner with DNV Key Account Managers (KAMs), Market Area Managers (MAMs) and Segment Leads for tracking business opportunities, market intelligence, develop services according to industry needs and develop and maintain the required network of contacts with focus on SEMELA Solar PV market.

The job will be based in Zaragoza, Barcelona, or Madrid (depending on the preference of the successful applicant). Most of the work will be desk based, however, travelling within Spain, Portugal, and other countries of SEMELA region will be required from time to time.

**Primary responsibilities/task include (but are not limited to)**:

- Developing the solar testing business and lead the strategy in the region of SEMELA
- Support Market, Sales and Communication Teams will be essential for give visibility to the PV Solar Testing service. This responsibility will also include communication campaign in exhibitions, introduce the service to key customer and prepare marketing material might be performed.
- Project management of PV solar testing projects project (scope, schedule, resource, costs) and interface with customers.
- Coordinate solar testing team and subcontractors and liaise with other Solar Teams across the DNV
- Bid management including contract review, technical analysis, and documentation
- Actively collaborates with Service Area Leaders and corresponding role(s) in other business lines to evolve the service portfolio and capture customer opportunities.
- Support in the PV Solar Testing equipment specification, procurement, and maintenance.
- Proactively driving execution on innovation initiatives that sit in the section, including driving the use of innovation funding to conclusion as efficiently as possible
- Recruit and mentor junior/young engineers of the team.
- Support in the development of the Annual Operation Plan (AOP)

***Other Tasks May Include**
- Technical report writing, critical reviewing and professional presentation to clients
- Meet company required documentation, reporting and administrative responsibilities.
- Complete company required documentation in a timely manner such as Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessments, time sheets, expense reports, inspection check sheets, tracking reports and scheduling controls.
- Contribute to improve procedures and aligning QHSE system with other Solar Teams across DNV;
Position Qualifications:
**Required Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of professional experience in the solar sector (preferable in consultancy or engineering companies) and at least 2 years working as Project Manager or Coordinator for PV solar testing services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of PV modules, solar technology and PV solar testing techniques and equipment.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline.
- Willingness to travel across the country and internationally.
- Full driving licence

**Preferred Qualifications (Not mandatory)**:

- Renewable/PV Solar Energy master will be highly considered.
- Experience on Project Acceptance tests and commissioning procedures (Equipment test data review).
- Experience with IEC and other relevant certifications in the industry
- Experience with solar PV related regulations, codes, and standards.
