**About the role**:
Wallbox seek an engineer professional to join their Purchasing Department as a Purchasing Field Applications Engineer on a permanent position. We are currently looking for a dynamic engineer with experience to join a fast-growing team in Barcelona and work aligned with our technical and purchasing department. On daily basis you will guide and support our R&D team and help them realize their innovative ideas with electronic components into EV charger industry based on a specific purchasing strategy.

In dependence of Electronics Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Field Applications Engineer will develop the commodity strategy for the key components guiding our R&D engineers.

Specific duties of the Purchasing Field Applications Engineer include:

- As a technical expert in purchasing department, you will be responsible for preparing & conducting trainings, events and technical meeting for R&D team
- Guide technical direction/ priorities based on suppliers shaping strategy and market situation. Huge knowledge of Supply Chain process in electronics Distribution/Suppliers and negotiate best prices and purchasing strategy for each supplier.
- Help development Engineers to select the right technologies and components for their next design or redesign. Be involved in many different development projects.

**Requirements**:

- University degree with a strong information technology affinity
- Relevant experience (at least 5 years) as Field Application Engineer (FAE or MDE), Technical Solutions Engineer, Design Engineer, Product Engineer or Electronic Engineer.
- Extensive knowledge about IoT Modules, Power devices (high voltage power sector like mosfets, IGBTs, power converters,), Digital ICs (MPU, MCU, Memories, Transceivers), etc
- Expertise in industrial manufacturing and relevant experience in EV charger industry.
- Proven experience in Value analysis/Value engineering (VaVe) and Design to Cost (DTC)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- A proven track record in similar position, preferable within an automotive or Industrial manufacturing environment (electronics manufacturer or distributor)
- Internpersonal skills to work in a cross-functional team
- Analytic, organized and structured engineer professional
- Advanced excel skills and data base skills
- Advanced english
- Open minded and proactive behavior
- Thinking skills (problem solving and decision making)
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- BI/DA desired skills (Tableau, QLIK, PowerBI)
