WHAT WE OFFER
Position Purpose: This job is responsible for a number of operational supply chain activities including detailed production planning, scheduling and re-scheduling, raw material call-off or raw material planning, coordination of logistics activities, and improvement projects for Covestro's production site in Parets.
Major tasks and responsibilities:
- Create and publish a weekly schedule from the weekly master schedule inside the manufacturing lead-time taking into account available resources such as equipment, raw materials and staffing as well as sequencing rules, campaign size, etc.- Adjust the schedules to manage around obstacles that may arise as a result of unexpected material shortages, delivery delays, quality misses or capacity constraints such as equipment downtime and communicate the changes to relevant links in the supply chain, such as Operations, Order Management, Transport Managment, Integrated Logistics and Procurement.- Ensure raw materials are ordered to support production schedule. Arrange for delivery of bulk intermediates/raw materials to the site.- Reporting on slow moving and obsolete inventory and design/propose/agree plans to reduce.- Responsible to keep stock levels (safety stock, stock target and re-order point) on agreed targets and keep stock master data up to date in SAP for finished goods, intermadiates and raws.- Arrange stock transfers of finished goods to off-site warehouses.- Create and monitor (internal and external) packaging and bulk loading plans. Maintain scheduling parameters incl. review of accuracy, report deviations and contribute to corrective measures/action with E2E SC performance leads.- Provide support and back-up for other planners in the Supply Chain Team.- Pro-active approach to offer alternatives for OTIF missed sales orders, ensuring the least impact for all parties involved. Create monthly analysis on OTIF figures, present and propose measures to improve performance.
Qualifications:
- Degree in ADE, Supply Chain or Business Related- 3-6+ years of relevant experience as Business Expert or Production Supervisor or in Supply Chain (Planning, Customer Service, Logistics, Purchasing)- Consulting or function with multiple interfaces and interdependencies- Deep knowledge of and high experience with SAP or high affinity with technology- Experience with S&OP, able to troubleshoot problems in system- Proven ability to drive for results and to achieve goals- Experience to manage across multiple interfaces- Good English level- Good communication and conflict management skills- Lean Six Sigma/Kanban
