Job Description
TechStyle Fashion Group is currently looking for a Planning & Merchandising Associate, based in Barcelona.
How Do You Fit In?
The Planning & Merchandising Associate will work across different brands/divisions of TechStyle. You will be responsible for OTB planning and analysis, inventory management, and sales performance reporting. You will be providing insight and analysis into detailed planning KPIs and will also assist in seasonal merchandising projects.
The ability to multitask and prioritize the tasks and projects will be important to the success of this role. Strong communication, attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment is required.
This position will report to the Merchandise Production Manager.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain monthly, seasonal and annual merchandise plans and buy records for multiple product categories. PLM Entry of new styles after buys have been placed and update all style, cost, and quantity changes in a timely manner
- Recap and analyze actual sales results vs plan, and forecast sales and inventory on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Help quantifying in-season risks and opportunities and make recommendations to management to drive results
- Send periodic buys to each vendor, write the Purchase Orders (POs) and send PO recaps to verify they received accurate POs
- Supporting the Merchandise Production Manager in overseeing the production process, managing daily communication with the vendors to answer their questions and keeping the orders moving forward
- Maintaining an updated WIP report to review open orders with the Merchandise Production Manager during weekly production meetings
- Create seasonal hindsight reports to drive strategic assortment decisions for future investments, providing insights and recommendations
- Shadow the monthly communication of Open-to-Buy (OTB) forecasts & supporting action plans to management and cross functional teams
- Prepare innovative ad-hoc financial analysis for management as needed
- Create seasonal line sheets and distribute to cross-functional teams
- Manage all areas of shipping tracking from ETA to Receipt in the system. Diligently surface any delayed POs or shipping issues
- Own sample process with cross functional teams: pull and maintain samples for recurrent selling meetings & other milestone meetings
- Monitor PO Approvals
- Additional responsibilities as required
What You Can Bring:
- 2+ years of Planning / Buying experience in the Fashion Industry
- Bachelor’s degree, business/finance degree preferred
- Solid understanding of financial measurements including sales, gross margin, inventory turn, sell-through, weeks of supply and how to impact them
- Expertise in retail math and OTB planning
- Highly proficient in systems:
- Strong knowledge in Excel
- Knowledge of Tableau, Centric & Blue Cherry is a plus but not necessary
- Pulling reports and data entry in multiple systems (training would be provided)
- Ability to troubleshoot systems or highlight concerns
- Detailed oriented:
- Excellent analytical skills
- Data entry with a high level of accuracy rate
- Accuracy in reporting / data pulls
- Complete assigned tasks thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner
- Strong written and verbal communication: ability to partner, highlight, and raise any concerns
- Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities; ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with peers and cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently on simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
