Production Manager

While all Animation studios look to hire people who are creative and hard-working, Skydance Animation is specifically looking for pioneers who seek to push the limits of what the world’s most collaborative art form can achieve, and to give those pioneers the space and the resources to build a new studio that’s doing something different.As the **Production Manager**, you will collaborate with the Associate Producer to oversee the schedule, crew and delivery of the film.

**Responsibilities**:

- Track the status of every sequence and shot in the production.
- Manage the VFX Supervisor’s time and priorities and produce weekly director schedules.
- Work closely with the VFX Supervisor to communicate creative priorities throughout the production.
- Partner with the Associate Producer and Production Supervisors to oversee department schedules, quotas and staffing needs.
- Manage overall production schedule, including inter-departmental workflow; and monitor/oversee department budgets, schedules and priorities.
- Maintain central production schedule/tracking documents in partnership with Production Accountant.
- Support department managers and coordinators in creating department budgets and schedules.
- Facilitate inter-department and inter-lead communication.
- Suggest production solutions that will allow for needed creative changes to be made.

**Requirements**:

- 4+ years of production supervision experience in animation film production or equivalent with emphasis on animation and/or visual effects.
- 7+ years of professional experience in VFX or animation industries.
- Proven experience working in production departments of at least two big-budget full feature animated films.
- Excellent working knowledge of film production pipeline and methodologies.
- Experience with all parts of the animation production pipeline, including layout, modeling, shading, animation, effects, lighting and rendering is desired.
- Familiarity with all aspects of production management, including budget & schedule management, personnel and performance management.
- Experience working cross-site with remote crews on 2+ films is preferred.
- A strong creative/technical background as proven leader in setting direction for a production and for inspiring and motivating production staff.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, MS Project or equivalent, and Shotgun.
- Advanced English level. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
- Sense of humor required.
