Accountant

We are looking for an **accountant role** reporting to Senior Finance Manager. You will be responsible for some of the administration and accounting of all group entities with a particular focus on Accounts payable and banks and any other ad-hoc tasks as required. This is a very hands-on role and you will be working closely with the various teams within the group.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain control of the consistency of the financial data and actively participate in maintaining the information system in accordance with standards in place at group level
- Produce/ Review the Bank accounts reconciliation and upload the data into the accounting systems
- In conjunction with the External Accounts payable team ensure that all invoices comply with both internal and external audit requirements and local legal regulation. Raise any invoices queries, resolves, and identifies problem areas and brings them to the attention of department manager with proposed solutions.
- Ensure that all invoices received have a valid Purchase order number
- Monitoring the Purchase order System (Coupa) for completeness and cut off
- Helping the various business owners in raising Purchase orders in a timely manner
- Reviewing of Prepayments working paper and monitoring the posting in the accounting ledger
- Together with the senior accountant, monitoring and review the profit and loss trend analysis within the non
- trade assigned profit and loss accounts
- Assist the Senior Finance Manager with the monthly, quarterly and year end close
- Balance sheet account reconciliations at closing period, with a special focus of Non-trade accrued liability and Payables
- Support the Finance Manager with special projects and workflow process improvements.

**Essential Skills**
- 2-3 years’ experience in a finance role
- Attention to detail
- Good computer skills including advanced Excel knowledge
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles
- Experience in dealing with relevant areas of accounting (invoice processing, BS reconciliations, payment processing)
- Teamwork and a good working relationship with colleagues within the team will be important
- Spanish & English written and spoken

**Desirable Skills**
- Microsoft AX
- Experience with Coupa Purchase order
- Experience in working in a fast paced environment
