As our Assistant Management Accountant, you will be a solution driven individual, with a strong work ethic and someone who takes pride in achieving their own goals and team goals, committed and enthusiastic and be an excellent communicator who is able to work effectively as part of a team. The Assistant Management Accountant will work closely with the Reporting and Planning Team who together will have significant responsibility to ensure that accurate and timely financial information is provided to Yugo Operations team and external investors.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for the month end close process and delivery of monthly and quarterly P&Ls for properties managed by Yugo in European regions.
- Perform P&L reviews with Yugo Operations team and Finance Business Partners to support their understanding of property financial performance, which in turn allow them to provide insightful analysis to investors.
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and analysis against Budget/Forecast.
- Preparation and completion of full and accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
- Delivery of appropriate business and financial analysis as required.
- Contribute to audit processes over property statutory accounts, ensure requests from property auditors are addressed on a timely basis.
- Support mobilisation of new properties or disposal of existing properties where required.
- Assist with queries and requests from property investors.
- Providing support to other departments with any other tasks as required
- Understand all the markets we operate in within your region and be prepared to travel to the Yugo spaces to get to know your target audience and colleagues
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Familiarity with Spanish General Accounting (GAAP) and local tax laws, including VAT and corporate tax requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience working within a finance team
- Strong Excel skills
- Month end experience
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Confident and pro-active with Strong communication skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish
Desirable:
- Part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified AAT
- Oracle NetSuite experience
- PowerBI experience
- Experience in hospitality or higher education providers in Europe
