Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking to meet our new Senior QA Engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols and methodologies for software development projects.

You will be responsible for creating and implementing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, as well as identifying and reporting defects and issues. You will work closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified quality standards. You will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members.

**What does your day-to-day look like?**
- Designing and implementing test plans and cases
- Developing and maintaining test scripts and automated testing tools
- Identifying and reporting defects and issues
- Collaborating with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure software meets or exceeds specified quality standards.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members
- Keeping up to date with industry best practices and trends in software development and quality assurance.
- Work in collaboration with the team defining, for example, the requirement test approach and planning in collaboration with QA Manager, engineers and stakeholders.
- Lead the defect management process.
- Create sufficient visibility/reporting for stakeholders and management to understand the status of testing activities at any given time.
- Track current progress of testing activities, finding and tracking test metrics, estimating and communicating improvement actions based on the test metrics results and the experience.
- Provide the scripting and maintenance of the automated tests in the chosen framework.
- Proactively contribute to the improvement of existing QA processes and procedures, supply productive feedbacks and foster the implementation of agreed improvements in assigned assets.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders in order to improve product quality.
- Participate in control sessions with QA Manager in order to review QA activities, identify improvement actions and define improvement plans.

**Your Profile** Your skills and experience**
- 5+ years of hard coding experience devops area.
- 3 to 7 Years of experience as a QA Engineer with hands-on testing / QA experience:

- Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, or other Azure data warehousing technologies
- Strong understanding of ETL best practices and design patterns
- Proficiency in Azure Data Factory and other related Azure technologies
- Experience with SQL and data modeling
- Experience with data integration and data management
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- English is mandatory.
- Great ability to design test cases by using business language.
- Strong experience in managing defects (reporting, follow-up, etc.).
- Foster communication between all team members/roles to facilitate analysis and to favor a common understanding of the requirements or the origin of defects.
- Strong capacity to understand a Quality Assurance vision that goes beyond pure testing activities and strategies.
