We are looking for a **GL Accountant** to join our team based in **Barcelona** (Spain) in order to cover a permanent position.

**Let’s talk about the role**

This position is responsible to manage all the accounting of our **Portuguese **company **and all statutory and fiscal obligations in **Portugal.**

**How You Will Make a Difference**

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Tax preparation for the Portuguese entities of VF.
- GL's bookings.
- Blackline reconciliations.
- Management of authorities letters received in Portugal.
- Review accounting accruals.
- AMT bookings and reconciliation.
- Payroll bookings for Portugal.
- Taxes payments.
- SAFT regularization & presentation.
- Reconciliation IVAT & SAP VAT (Solar & USGAP calendar).
- Cooperation with external consultancy and Deloitte.
- Sales commissions accruals Portugal.
- GL setup and statutory codes.
- Statutory Accounts preparation & Audit requirements

**Skills for Success**

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and /or abilities required for the individual to be successful in this position.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or High School Degree with relevant professional experience in Portuguese accounting.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role (4-5 years), managing Portuguese accounts (mandatory).
- Language skills: Fluent English and Spanish.
- Advanced MS Office knowledge, Excel is a must.
- Proven ability to plan and work independently while balancing shifting priorities.
- Strong analytical skills.
