**The role**:
GTD Science, Infrastructures & Robotics is now looking for an experienced I&C Engineer to participate in Big Science projects. You will join a dynamic team, working on the ITER project, a cutting-edge nuclear fusion research facility.

**Position activities**:
As a I&C Engineer, you will:

- Design, develop, implement and commission Safety I&C systems for ITER machine protection systems;
- Write technical documentation (architecture, specifications, procedures, test cases, cabling an electrical diagram etc )
- Participate in system testing, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), which includes the development of test benches and substitution tools when system equipment is not available.

**Your profile**:

- BSc in n industrial, automation, electrical engineering or similar.
- Experience with Siemens S7-400FH PLCs
- Experience in Hardware and software design and integration of safety industrial control systems, under the IEC-61508 and IEC-61511 standards.
- Experience in functional analysis, reliability assessment and functional specification of I&C functional safety related functions.
- Experience in installation, commissioning, acceptance testing and functionality validation of I&C functional safety system, including the preparation and execution of FAT and SAT procedures,
- Experience in the design of I&C cabling diagrams for I&C system.
- Experience reading and understanding I&C electrical diagrams for I&C system.
- Experience with System Requirement management: ability to dialogue with a wide variety of contributors and stakeholders to identify process requirements.
- Technical documentation generation.
- Technical risk analysis
- English B2 or equivalent
- Multi-disciplinary person
- Keen to understanding customer processes

**Nice to have**:

- Certification TÜV Functional Safety Engineer (IEC 61511)
- Experience in the design, construction and operation of instrumented safety systems for large heterogeneous facilities.
- Understanding of Large Scientific Projects like ITER Project will be an asset.
- Practical experience implementing electrical diagrams (eg. SEE Electrical, EPLAN, etc)
- TIA Portal
- Familiarity with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) (in particular with WinCC-OA and/or CODAC)
- Python development and software QA
- Experience in documentation management systems
- JIRA & Confluence
- SVN
