**Job Overview**:
**What will be your responsibilities**:

- ** Algorithm Development**: Design, develop and implement advanced signal processing algorithms for analysing sensor data, radar, SAR and maritime radar data, including object & event & change detection, recognition, segmentation and tracking.
- **Data Analysis**: Perform in-depth analysis of complex signal data to extract meaningful insights and identify patterns.
- **Model Training and Optimization**: Train and optimize machine learning models using large datasets of signal data, ensuring high accuracy and performance.
- **Data Pre-processing**: Perform data pre-processing tasks such as filtering, denoising and normalization to prepare datasets for analysis and modelling.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with data engineers, software developers, product managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- **Performance Evaluation**: Evaluate the performance of signal processing algorithms and models using appropriate metrics and techniques and iteratively improve their accuracy and efficiency.
- **Deployment**: Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy signal processing models into production environments and ensure their robustness and scalability.
- **Documentation**: Maintain comprehensive documentation of models, algorithms and processes for future reference and reproducibility.

**Profile and requirements**:

- ** Education**: Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
- **Preferred location of working**: UK, Portugal, France and/or Spain
- **Experience**: 3+ years of experience in data science or signal processing, with a focus on analysing sensor data, radar, SAR, or maritime radar data.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Strong programming skills in Python, as well as MATLAB or C++.
- Extensive experience in signal processing, with a strong command of advanced techniques such as Fourier analysis (FFT, STFT), wavelet transforms (discrete and continuous), and digital filtering (FIR, IIR design and implementation). Skilled in time-frequency analysis, noise reduction, feature extraction, and real-time signal denoising using both classical and modern approaches. Proficient with tools such as MATLAB, Python (NumPy, SciPy, PyWavelets), and DSP libraries for embedded systems.
- Time Series Analysis & Anomaly Detection: Strong background in time series analysis, combining classical statistical methods with machine learning techniques for anomaly detection. Experienced in techniques such as autoencoders, isolation forests, and statistical process control (SPC) for detecting outliers and temporal patterns in sensor data and operational logs.
- Experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, TensorRT, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with experimentation platforms such as Jupyter Notebooks.
- Knowledge of radar systems and signal processing techniques specific to radar and SAR data.
- Familiarity with data pre-processing and feature extraction techniques for signal data.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services, with focus on Google Cloud.
- Experience in getting Machine Learning products to production.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps best practices and tools: GIT, CI/CD, telemetry and monitoring, etc.
- **Analytical Skills**: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design innovative solutions to complex problems.
- **Communication**: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
