The SPA Studios, the Award-winning Feature Animation Studio is selecting a talented and experienced Senior Environment Modeling Artist.
**Context**:
The Environment Modelling artist will create environments, plants and objects in 3D working with the outputs of the Art Department.
She/He will create both basic 3D geometry for Previs Department and final high quality models for the final footage when necessary.
She/He will work closely with the art department, The Environment Art Director and Production Designers to achieve and maintain the desired visual look and level of finish.
**Responsibilities**:
- Define the best way to create the required Environments and objects in 3d from the established designs..
- Prepare models correctly to be textured and rigged when needed..
- Foresee potential issues (optimization, lighting..etc) that might occur further in the pipeline and offer viable solutions.
- Correctly match the work to the visual style of the project.
- Understanding of form, shape, structure, volume and silhouette regarding modelling.
- Proficiency in Blender as 3D modelling software is a plus.
- At least 4 years of previous professional experiences as modeller in 3D animation or VFX productions.
- Self-motived.
- Team player.
- Good communication skills with both technical and artistic departments.
- Proactive person and problem-solving attitude.
- The SPA Studios is an international work environment. Spoken and written English is a must.
