What a typical day looks like:

- You will have exposure to International Logistics, good understanding of Incoterms and Shipping terms.
- You will do follow up with Suppliers for the Packing List/ ASN and arrange for the Pick-up of the cargo from their facility.
- Well versed with shipping documents like Bill of Ladings, Invoice, Packing List, COO, Fumigation Certificates etc.
- Co-ordinate with Freight Forwarders for booking of the shipments, approving the Bill of Ladings, tracking of the shipments. - Door-to-door
- Co-ordinate with Customs Broker for the customs clearance of the cargo
- Co-ordinate with Project Managers/ Customers/ Project site representatives for the delivery of the shipment to site.
- Do follow up with Freight Forwarders for POD. (Proof of delivery)
- Ensure the container is returned to the Carrier within stipulated free days.
- Co-ordinate with FedEx /DHL/UPS for the courier Shipments.
- Reverse Logistics - coordinate the movement of goods from Project site to Supplier’s end.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and with 3/6 years of supply chain experience.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and high level of proficiency with Excel: comfortable with Pivot Tables, Vlookups, and complex formula creation.
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Effective Communicator with the ability to influence suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Good project management skills with the ability to plan tasks, manage progress, remove barriers, manage change, resolve conflict, build consensus, and motivate team members across multiple projects concurrently.
- Must be comfortable in a supporting role, taking direction from and working closely with a supervisor on a regular basis.
