**Your mission**:
As a Staff Frontend Engineer at Jimdo, you will be expected to do more than just coding. We're looking for a leader who can create roadmaps for our frontend frameworks across the entire company. You will have a substantial impact on shaping our software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings, ensuring we deliver high-performance, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Innovate, lead, and contribute to the frontend engineering direction of both our hosted and on-premise offerings.
- Collaborate closely with the Jimdo Product, Operations, and Engineering teams to shape the tasks we work on.
- Create roadmaps for our frontend frameworks, promoting a lean and efficient approach.
- Mentor, support, and challenge your team members to foster growth and collaboration.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Strong knowledge of essential HTTP and foundational JavaScript principles.
- An inclination towards using simple, lean technologies.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Cloudflare Workers or CDN with computing at the edge is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in leading technical teams.
- An understanding of accessibility standards and a commitment to building inclusive, accessible digital products.
- Ability to work with a global team in a distributed work environment.
- A passion for JavaScript and web development in general
