Vonage is looking for a talented FinOps Analyst who is as comfortable talking to finance teams as they are to the Engineering and Sales teams. In this role, you'll lead the organization in a FinOps revolution, providing the frameworks & tools that will give Vonage visibility into our product's financial performance. This is an opportunity to build a FinOps organization from the ground up and evangelize it across Vonage.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop a deep understanding of Vonage's products, services and the microservices that support them. You'll use this knowledge to provide technical guidance related to FinOps best practices encompassing AWS, GCP and many SaaS providers.
- Create financial models that provide clear and consistent allocation of hosting costs to business lines and products.
- Manage the cloud hosting budget and provide insights to projected cloud spend as Vonage continues to grow.
- Create cost models for new projects to support product & sales viability and expand current models as products expand across the globe.
- Develop strategies to effectively use Cost Savings Plans, Reserved Instances and other cost savings opportunities within hosting providers
- Analyze and report on unexpected cost variances
- Interface with our Ericsson peers to manage the relationships with our cloud hosting providers
- Assist with negotiating with current & new vendors as they are on-boarded into the Vonage Technical portfolio
- Coordinate cost reporting and savings opportunities across engineering departments and evaluate the cost-effectiveness of new initiatives.
- Integrate AWS/GCP cloud APIs to develop custom tools, dashboards, and visualizations that effectively communicate key FinOps metrics to stakeholders.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Strong aptitude with FinOps and public cloud fundamentals including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
- At least 5 years of experience in technical or financial related roles within the SaaS or cloud services industries.
- Demonstrable knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure, with the ability to 'speak the language' of public and private cloud ecosystems to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Technical or Financial Certifications from FinOps.org, AWS, Azure, GCP or cloud providers
- Experience with the Apptio Total Cost management platform
- Experience working with Business Intelligence or Data Science teams to provide financial insights for Vonage.
- An understanding of Python and API Interfaces to extract and transform information from hosting providers
- Experience negotiation with vendors on proposals or statements of work to provide favorable terms to the business.
