The group actively engages with society, decision-makers, and businesses to co-produce and exchange knowledge and develop user-oriented services. The aim of the ESS is to enhance knowledge cocreation and improve resilience by accelerating adaptation to a rapidly changing environment. **Key Duties** - Perform impact assessment research and suggest innovative approaches - Conduct ESG, microeconomic, & climate data analysis and visualization - Write public reports and scientific papers - Engage with partners and stakeholders - Support decision-makers in the integration of climate services in their mitigation and adaptation strategies Manage tasks autonomously and learn how to coordinate activities internally and cross-institutionally**Requirements**: - Education - A postgraduate degree in economics, applied economics, data sciences or similar filed - Advanced knowledge of statistics and econometrics - Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience - Ability to critically analyse strategies and data - Ability to synthesize the results in written, visual, and verbal forms - Experience in presenting to an audience (technical or not) - Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience - Previous work or research on the topic of climate change, ESG, sustainability or related fields - Knowledge of a Geographical Information System (GIS) software - Previous experience with working on EU-funded projects will be appreciated - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - Competences - Ability to work in a professional environment within an interdisciplinary and international team - Good time management **Conditions** - The position will be located at BSC within the Earth Sciences Department - We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures - Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration - Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement - Starting date: asap **Applications procedure and process** - A full CV in English including contact details - A cover/motivation letter with a statement of interest in English, clearly specifying for which specific area and topics the applicant wishes to be considered.
