**SCIB is looking for a Energy Transformation Associate, based in our Boadilla del Monte office.**

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

The Project & Acquisition Finance Team has consistently played a leading role in the global renewables market over the last decades. Currently, most countries and private corporations are rising their decarbonization commitments in order to fight climate change, and new technologies are being developed in order to complement the positive impact of the growing renewable power capacity. Within this context the team is expanding its scope to cover these new initiatives in order to maintain its leading position in the energy transition space.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

- To frequently scan the market in order to keep an updated view on the status of the technological development for CCS, biofuels and H2, and to develop internal reports to communicate it to the rest of the organization
- To maintain an updated view on the status of the market in CCS, biofuels and H2, identifying the main players in key regions and distilling the main market trends. Developing top quality marketing and internal reports to synthesize this information
- To collaborate in the development of a business plan to guide Santander’s effort on these new markets and to track its implementation across the different geographies
- To participate in the origination activity and to support the execution of business opportunities, providing market/technological expertise
- To support the development of new products, as the bank progresses in its activity in each of these new segments

EXPERIENCE
- +3y experience on a tier-1 strategic consulting firm
- +1y experience in Carbon Capture & Storage or Bio/e-fuels
- International experience and prior exposure to industrial environment are highly valued

EDUCATION
- Bachelor in Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical Engineering or similar
- Other finance background is highly valued

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Very strong analytical background
- Knowledge of ESG fundamentals
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (Mandatory: English. Valued: French and Spanish)
- Proactivity to take challenges and propose innovative solutions
- High degree of autonomy and commitment in a demanding environment
