**ROLE SUMMARY**:
The British College of Gavà is a premium international school located just outside Barcelona, offering a British-style education for students aged 3 to 18. As part of the **Inspired Education Group**, our school blends academic rigour with creativity, critical thinking, and global-mindedness.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality French lessons from **Year 3 to Year 9** (ages 7-14), aligned with the **UK National Curriculum**:
- Teach **Spanish Ab Initio** within the **IB Diploma Programme**, focusing on students with no prior knowledge of Spanish
- Foster a stimulating, inclusive and language-rich learning environment
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students
- Collaborate with colleagues in planning, assessment and curriculum development
- Support the wider life of the school, including events, trips and co-curricular activities
**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:
- Native-level proficiency in **French** (French native preferred)
- Degree in Languages, Education or a related field
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or equivalent)
- **Experience teaching within the UK curriculum** is essential
- Experience with the **IB Diploma Programme**, especially Ab Initio courses, is an advantage
- Strong classroom management, communication and intercultural skills
- Passionate about language acquisition and committed to student progress and wellbeing
- Eligible to work in Spain
