For this role, **intermediate crypto expertise** is optimal for success. **Head of the Social Media Department** reports to **Editor-in-Chief** and is responsible for overseeing the company's daily social media output.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Manage the SMM team and build scalable, replicable processes.
- Maintain and develop a keen understanding of the industry, its history, the current news, and benchmark against top-performing social media creators in the sector.
- Work across the organization with writers, editors, event planners, and product managers to create and execute strategies for social media posts and campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Work with a team of designers, video editors, and animators to provide substantive feedback on social media graphics, videos, and other types of content.
- Uses social media data tools to collect and analyze data for reporting purposes.
- In-depth knowledge of a variety of social media platforms, particularly Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok and have proficiency in Discord, Telegram, Reddit, Lens and online moderation.
- Quick reaction when it comes to breaking news or crisis management.

**Required Education/Experience**:

- **5 years** experience **creating social media copy and content**.
- **2-3 years** experience in **managing social media staff and implementing digital campaigns**.
- Prior experience within **the crypto/blockchain industry** is required, whether in a professional or personal capacity.
