**What’s the job?**

As Assistant Director of Restaurants & Bars you will be responsible for supervising the team, ensuring the service is on point and solving any issue reported by the team.

Reports to the Director of Restaurants & Bars

**Your day-to-day**

To lead the team with a strong hands-on operational focus.

Supervising daily F&B shift operation and ensuring compliance with all F&B policies, standards and procedures.

Collaborate with budget, forecast, complete the revenue plan and any other F&B administrative procedure.

Utilizing budgets to understand financial objectives, plan actions and events in the department, oversee purchasing and control costs.

Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

To deputize for the F&B manager in his absence if required

To advise the F&B manager of guest comments or complaints and to initiate a response

To project a positive and professional image to all contacts at all times

Ensures that regular, on-going communication occurs in all areas of food and beverage (e.g., pre-meal briefings, staff meetings, culinary team).

Works with direct reports to review business in house and potential business in surrounding area and troubleshoot potential challenges/conflicts.

Reviews staffing levels to ensure that guest service and operational needs are met.

Sets expectations and holds food and beverage leadership team accountable for demonstrating desired service behaviors.

Provides feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors.

Utilizes employee feedback and an “open door” policy to identify and address employee problems or concerns in a timely manner.

Communicates critical information gained from preand post-convention meetings to areas of responsibility.

Estimate food, liquor, wine, and other beverage consumption in order to anticipate amounts to be purchased or requisitioned.

Order and purchase equipment and supplies.

**What we need from you**

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field.

Some college and/or advanced training in food and beverage management valuable.

2+ years’ experience working in Food and Beverage department as supervisor.
