The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in helping Fall Creek make strong decisions. By serving as one of the analytical gurus at Fall Creek, the Financial Analyst will plunge deep into the company’s financial and operational data to deliver business-changing reporting and insights. This position will have the opportunity to partner with teams across functions and geographies, giving the analyst a unique and comprehensive view of the company and industry.
**ORGANIZATIONAL FIT**:
This position reports to Fall Creek’s Sr. Financial Planning & Analysis Manager.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**This position will be responsible for**:
**Performance**: Analysis of monthly financial and operational performance comparing against budget/forecast and prior year, interrogating variances, and collaborating with internal teams to understand key drivers, capital expenditures, utilizing NPV and IRR analyses. Present results to managers & executives.
**Planning & Forecasting**: Support the annual plan & quarterly forecasting processes and gather the relevant input information.
**Project Support**: Provide financial and operational analysis support for key projects.
**Budgeting**: Support in the creation of the annual budget in collaboration with controllers and department leaders.
**Stakeholder Management**: Development of strong working relationships within the internal Partnership team, Finance and Operations, and third parties
Supports the implementation of new finance tools, software & processes.
Question and challenge the status quo.
Provides Ad doc reports.
Other duties as assigned.
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAINING**:
A Bachelor of Arts/Science in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Management Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or other fields with an analytical focus.
2+ years of analytical professional experience.
The ability to present complex ideas clearly—and graphically—to senior management.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivots, macros).
General knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements
Understanding of basic programming.
A drive to uncover the right answer, not necessarily the first answer or the easiest answer.
An obsession with continuous learning.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
High English Proficiency level (B2-C1)
