The Underwriting Operations Technician role is to provide consistent and efficient end to end support for online & offline business handled in the UWR Centre, as well as support for language dependent tasks in branch. This includes, but is not limited, to tasks such as entering data into underwriting and various other systems required to track business, bespoke certificates, sanction checks, broker contact management, support project related tasks, QA, handling internal and external enquiries and credit control queries resolution. Additionally, to facilitate the underwriting process by supporting a group of Underwriters within the Operations team. This will include taking ownership of the underwriting and administrative processes and the job will include an agreed level of underwriting authority.

This role reports directly to the Underwriting Operations Technician Team Leader.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support rules-based branch activities that require language skills & technical ability.
- Input relevant information in rating tool, maintaining data quality through accurate input.
- Manage broker queries in relation to the Online / Offline business and build good working relationship with local brokers.
- Owning the centralized processes of Operations QA and reporting.
- Provide general assistance to underwriters for, renewal preparation, information follow up, Online business, cancellations, and other duties as agreed with the business
- To work within the framework of our ethical and service standards.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:

- Native or advanced level in Swedish and in Danish.
- Professional language skills in English.
- Previous experience in an underwriting support role is a plus.
- Insurance background is preferred.
- Competent in Microsoft Office - especially Excel.
- Strong customer service skills and customer centric attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and the desire to deliver and improve quality.
- Problem resolution and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as on own initiative.
