What you’ll learn & achieve:
The Social Compliance Auditor performs social compliance assessments in a variety of manufacturing sites, farms, processing plants and/or other work-related sites throughout a region or country.

You will assess and report in accordance with UL and client audit protocols on facilities working conditions as it relates to established code of conducts, initiatives and/or client programs.

Auditors are expected to write comprehensive reports in English in an objective,

accurate, detailed and timely manner.

**Responsibilities**:

- Executes accurate, objective, and high-quality social compliance assessments by
implementing all requirements indicated in the client specific procedures, auditor
trainings and audit scope.
- Documents and reports audit findings/observations and submits the completed audit reports in a timely manner.
- Communicates audit observations to facility management in a professional, objective, and clear manner.
- Verifies the effectiveness of corrective actions taken as a result of an audit.
- Cooperates with and supports other auditors and staff.
- Promptly addresses any clarification queries from the reviewing team.
- Completes all assigned training activities and actively participates in training sessions.
- Applies feedback from reviewers, training specialists, quality and program managers and client facing teams to future work for continuous improvement.
- Treats privileged information with discretion and ensures all audit related documents
and results remain confidential and well-guarded.
- Updates country law profiles for assigned country/region in support of the audit process & advisory services teams.
- Is open and willing to learn and perform new audit programs.
- Performs other duties as directed.

What makes you a great fit:
**Essential skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ of work experience as an auditor
- APSCA registered auditor (RA) or at least 80 audit days
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Knowledge and Expertise in client’s specific Codes of Conduct
- Interest in international labour standards, human rights & environmental issues.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the designated country or assigned regions (up to 85% annually).
- Excellent communication skills; capable of addressing various audiences and conduct meetings in front of multiple people.
- Ability to operate in a multicultural environment with persons varying in socio-economic status.

**Desirable skills**:

- Qualifications for specific audit programs, including but not limited to SMETA 6.0, BSCI, CTPAT, Brand Protection, RBA, RMI, is a plus.
