**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is looking for a laboratory technician to work in the Respiratory and Immune Repair (REPAIR Lab) group to conduct laboratory experiments and data collection, participating in specialized research experiments, processing and analysing tissues and data, prepare reports, and provide technical expertise to the team members. Besides, the person will participate in research meetings and discussions, and contribute to scientific publications and presentations.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conduct experiments linked to the competitive Marato project about the effect of cell free therapies in infectious models.
- Help in the development of in vitro experiments using pulmonary cell lines and primary cells, and perform functional assays such as cell proliferation, functionality and activation.
- To participate in in vivo mouse experiments and the post tissue process by performing extractions of RNA and DNA, protein extractions, real time qPCR.
- Histological analysis on the obtained mouse samples
- Genotyping of the mouse cell lines.
- Process blood human samples for posterior analysis with a cell free therapy.
- Take care of routine task for maintaining the lab.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE**:

- Higher Vocational Training Program in Specific Clinical and biomedical laboratory or in Pathological Anatomy and Cytodiagnosis studies are required.
- Catalan and Spanish.
- Strong experience in molecular biology techniques (DNA, RNA, ELISA), histological analysis, biochemical analysis, mouse genotyping, and cell culture techniques.
- Well-organised person and goal-targeted is well valued.
- Person able to work independently, take initiative and have good skills in work team.
- Any previous experience working in a laboratory and experience in the mentioned techniques will be positively considered.
