Mechanical Engineer Propulsion

**ISATI Engineering Solutions** is looking for a** **Mechanical Engineer Propulsion **to join our client's projects in Jaen.

You will be assigned to the Propulsion Team within the 5th generation technology demonstrator program that is currently running an extended flight test campaign in Andalucía Spain. In your role, you will lead engineering activities for the complete Propulsion system. The scope of the role extends from the unique ducted fan electric engines to the flap assembly including structural, harness and actuator components. You will report directly to the program CE, focusing on running a successful flight test campaign. Your responsibilities will include flight data analysis, following flight approval, providing and optimizing maintenance requirements as well as supporting any ad-hoc issues arising from aircraft operation.
- Ensure continuous engineering support during the flight-testing activities for the propulsion system of the Lilium prototype aircraft
- Flight data analysis
- Maintenance support
- Support solving any potential issues with the propulsion system, including updating design data as necessary
- Constantly learn new things - and share them with your team members
- Work on any ad-hoc related projects or tasks**
**All work is to be done onsite in the ATLAS flight test site close to Villacarrillo, Spain.

Duration: 9 Months
- University degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical/Vehicle Engineering or Electrical Engineering (aerospace specialization, M.Sc./M.Eng. preferred).
- A Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the aerospace industry is required.
- A Good understanding of propulsion systems is required.
- The ability to quickly understand and react to arising problems to minimize possible AoG time is absolutely essential.
- Experience with reviewing data sets and drawing conclusions is required.
- A Good understanding of electromagnetic actuation is required.
- Good knowledge of a CAD system (preferably NX) is required.
- Basic knowledge of PDM/PLM systems (Teamcenter or equivalent) is required.
- Good knowledge of ISO GPS (alternatively ASME GD&T) and overall good drafting skills are beneficial.
- Experience with flight testing is beneficial.
- Project management experience is required.
- An Excellent understanding of general design principles and technical correlations is required.
- Data analysis experience is beneficial.
- High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously if required.
- Target-oriented, driven work style with analytic problem-solving skills required
- Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment are required.
- Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial.
