The Senior Manager Network Architecture is responsible for:

- To drive, in close collaboration with Group Commercial and Vodafone Business, Innovation and lead global prototyping, development, and delivery of new Service Applications utilizing Vodafone’s existing and future network capabilities (Multi-Access Edge Compute, 5G, Network Slicing, etc.)
- To own the end-to-end Network architecture for these innovations and developments, in close collaboration with product functions
- To drive associations, industry, partners, mainstream vendors, and startups to ensure we deliver innovations aiming to enhance customer experience, improve cost efficiencies, and deliver new revenue streams.
- To engage with the Markets, Business, Technology, suppliers, and partners for PoCs, showcases, trials, and product deployment.
- To support markets and business units on new technology and solutions aspects to facilitate the introduction of new services.

The role of has the following responsibilities:

- Drive innovation in Networks - identify new technologies and products through “industry scouting”, collaboration or business internal/external demand aiming to provide substance for external communications, enhance customer experience, bring new revenue streams, reduce costs or open up market opportunities.
- Leverage strategic relationships, industry partnerships and Innovation Centres to ensure we maximise know how and drive industry consensus for new product introduction
- Interface and Single Point of entrance for small companies / Industry scouting - create and manage new relationships with small companies to deliver business benefit from new technologies/solutions and address changing business needs.

What you bring:

- Minimum 10 years of technology design and management experience in telecommunications networks or major internet service / content providers.
- Strong expertise in Mobile Data Networks including 2G/3G/4G/5G/NB-IoT/Cat-M/WiFi access technologies, core networks, transport, seand service enablers, in traditional as well as in the context of NFV.
- Track record in creating and driving technology platform innovation/evolution / revolution through business cases to commercial products, both through in-house as well as supplier/content provider community.
- In-depth understanding of mobile and fixed access technologies, core networks, transport and service enablers.
- Excellent communication skills to Technology as well as Business senior level leadership teams.
