Customer Service Representative

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Resolve product or service issues by clarifying customer complaints, determining the cause, selecting and explaining the best solution, and following up to ensure resolution.
- Maintain customer records by updating account information in the system.
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate departments or supervisors as needed.
- Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.
- Stay up-to-date on products, services, and company policies.
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative is a plus.
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk).
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Bilingual (a plus depending on location/market).
- Experience in [industry-specific field, e.g., telecommunications, retail, healthcare].
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills.
**Work Environment**:
- May involve extended periods of sitting and using a computer.
- Depending on the company, may involve shift work including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
