**Position Description**

Key responsibilities:

- Develop, improve, implement and ensure ongoing compliance with a QIAGEN appropriate Azure Cloud Security Controls Framework aligned to best practice security frameworks (e.g. CSA, CIS or similar).
- Create, implement and maintain Cloud-specific security policies, standards and procedures as appropriate for our cloud environment in partnership with key stakeholder.
- Create, implement and maintain automated security posture and workload compliance monitoring, integrated with existing Security Operations solutions.

**Position Requirements**
Must have:

- Three years of experience in Azure cloud security engineering/architecture.
- Five years of general Cloud Operations and/or Security Operations experience.
- Professional qualifications suitable to the role (CCSP, CCSK, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Very strong knowledge and experience with cloud security operations at scale and extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud security compliance requirements.
- Expertise with Azure security concepts and services including Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), Azure Information Protection (AIP), Azure Key Vault, Azure Security Center, Azure Operations Management Service, Log Analytics, Sentinel, PIM, Identity and Access Management, etc.
- Fluent knowledge of English.

**Desirable requirements**:

- Expertise in a broad array of cloud systems and network security technical controls and processes (e.g., identity & access management, system hardening, network segmentation, incident response, intrusion prevention, DDOS mitigation, threat intelligence, etc.).
- Extensive experience with automation and infrastructure/security as code in common scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, Python.

**Personal Requirements**
- Self-starter able to work with mínimal supervision and dedicated to deliver results.
- Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities while staying a team player.
- Strong personality, able to quickly build positive cross functional relationships.
- Evidence of ongoing personal development in the information security profession e.g. research, tool development or personal blog.
