We are looking for a qualified cook to work at the **Hotel Sir Victor in Barcelona**; you will play a key role in managing all aspects of the kitchen department of the restaurant. You will be expected to deliver experience and motivate all staff on to ensure and aim to deliver a great dining experience for our guests. As a cook you will be responsible for maintaining quality and increasing profitability. Your skills and a good understanding of high efficiency and concept experience are a must.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Ensure that all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to the correct recipe and quantity.
- Ensure that any anticipated shortages are quickly communicated to the sous chef or head chef.
- Have all ingredients and kitchen equipment organised in each section and cook them.
- Check the quality of ingredients
- Check stocks and place orders when shortages occur.
- Communicate raw material yield data to your manager, in order to adjust recipes and wastage.
- Favour a good working environment within the A&B Department, encouraging teamwork and supporting and collaborating with the rest of the colleagues at all times.
- Actively collaborate with colleagues in the dining room and kitchen, helping whenever necessary.
- Propose improvements that help the continuous improvement of the A&B department, in particular, and the Hotel in general.

**Contract conditions**:

- Contract: full time. Seasonal indefinite contract. To work each year from May/June to October.
- Location: Barcelona
- Salary: about 1.900€ gross salary / monthly.
